Default Yanks release conditioning coach...

Quote:
NEW YORK -- The New York Yankess, hobbled in the early season by a string of injuries to the pitching staff, have dismissed their conditioning coach, according to media reports Wednesday in New York.

The New York Times reported that general manager Brian Cashman would discuss the move before Wednesday night's game at Texas.
Marty Miller, who took the title "director of performance enhancement" when he joined the team this winter, was fired the day after rookiee Phil Hughes strained his hamstring in the seventh inning after six innings of no-hit ball. Media reports cited unidentified Yankees sources in reporting the firing.

Nothing is going their way this year. I'm not a Yankees fan by any means, but you have to feel bad for Torre. All these injuries are putting his job in jeopardy and now the "calvary" as ESPN likes to call him is out too....No-hitter going and them bam....

Same here with not being a Yankees fan but I am following what happens simply because trying to see where the team goes from here is interesting to think aobut. The roster is an aged bunch with a few young highlights and several all-star mainstays.

And a bunch of overpayed players, even the way A-Rod was producing in April, not sure if that was worth 25 million, but if it was he needs to keep it up to be fully worth it. There is a lot of other players as well that don't deserve what they get...

Kinda expected after listening to Boston radio talking about the guy, and how many unnamed players were very unhappy with his program, which got away from thing traditional exercises
