Default Disgrace.

Team sucks, that's all I have to say.

Will Torre survive into June? Or is he at risk of not surviving the rest of April?

I have no idea. His moves are questionable at best sometimes. But to be honest it's more about the fact that they can't pitch. Today's game was a great deviation from the norm. I'll take it.

ok i have a question, on Fox they were talking about how Doug M was holding the slow Youkilis on, with Papi at the plate as being a mistake, granted it worked out fine for the Yanks, but I wonder is that Torre and his coaches making that call or is that a Doug M decision?? I know the manager controls a lot, but at some point don't the players just have to play?

Well, the manager makes the final call on that. The player makes the initial judgment on where to play, and then the manager can make him move after that. Make no question about it, he shouldn't have been holding the runner there. Luckily for me they didn't pay for that.

You know what? I'm wrong suggesting Torre might be fired -- or at least it's the wrong move for the club. Joe being fired would be a scapegoat move.

Cashman, on the other hand...

Well from what George said today neither will be fired. Guess this is all moot-for now. But who knows: a lot of times the vote of confidence turns out to be the kiss of death.

Yes, but I think Torre has gotten that vote several times. But as you said -- moot for now. Today was the perfect day to make a move -- off day, more time to adjust... at least on the managerial side. With Cashman -- I would assume that if the Yankees make a change, it won't be until the off season. Certainly not before the draft.
