Default Strike Up The Band For Yankee Parade

STRIKE UP THE BAND FOR YANKEE PARADE By GEORGE KING - Yankees - New York Post Online Edition

"Can Chien-Ming Wang, who will open the season on the disabled list, Andy Pettitte and Mike Mussina stay healthy enough to combine for 90 starts? What can they expect from Carl Pavano and Kei Igawa?"

This makes me pretty happy to hopeful see the yankees get off to a horrible start and struggle early.

Thanks for the classy post.

I would rather have some injuries early than late. Honestly, there aren't worries because the Yankees have had injuries as recent as last year and got through them without any problems.

Adversity builds character.

Pavano is a key. What can Karstens and Rasner do while the other pitchers are injured?

Do you foresee any deal before Opening Day?

Timmer,

I think the Yankees will sit tight and reload witht he farm system. I don't know but I have heard that Hughes is not far away and we may have another arm or two that can help from there.

I see the problem with the Yankees and has been for a while that when Cashman comes a callin everyone wants the kitchen sink and out first born. With developing players like Wang, Cano, Melky...why should the Yankees not look toward their farm system. Its not like they are that far away from plugging any supposed holes.
