Yankees receive 2008 All-Star Game

This will be a nice way to close down one of(in my opinion the best) stadiums of all time. Hopefully we can close it with a WS Championship? Comments?

They will. There has been speculation about this for quite some time. It is only fitting considering the historical importance of Yankee Stadium to baseball. I would be severely disappointed in Major League Baseball if we didn't receive the All Star Game in 2008. Also, I think this move sets up the Mets to have the All Star Game in 2009 at the newly christened "CitiField".

I don't think the Mets get it the year after the Yankees. I think the Mets are a few years after that. Won't give it to two stright NY teams. I know they have been talking about it for quite awhile as a Sunday Season Ticket Holder it has been rumored for awhile. But like i said i'll get extremely excited when MLB officially announces it.

Yes finally the Yankees get the All-Star game. This should be an interesting allstar game when it happens.

. We wont get booed much cause i mean come on its our home stadium but it wont just be full of Yankee fans so thats why there will be some boo's.

Washington is opening a new ballpark in 2008. I wouldn't be surprised if they get the 2009 ASG.

Maybe so. Not really sure how these All-Star Game selections are chosen anyway.
