Default Interest in Nick Johnson?

Seems like an unsubstantiated rumor from some guy who says he has a "source", but I thought I would post it based on the fact that Johnson makes good sense as a target for the Yankees. Not sure why Washington would want to trade him though. Also, how is Eric Duncan going to be enough for this guy? Look at Duncan's numbers the last two years: all he has done is regressed as a hitter against mediocre minor league pitching. Throw in back problems to boot.

Forget about who we are going to give up for him...

The question I have is, is he ever going to play agian after his injury and if he does, how mobile is he going to be

I love Nick Johnson, so pissed when we got rid of him, but He is not the answer right now. Let Andy Phillips play for crying out loud

If we never gave up Johnson imagine how he would be on the Yankees still..... I hope we can get him back cause he is a better back up then Phillips at 1B.

At 100% Yes, Nick is, but he is coming off a MAJOR Leg Injury. I know talks were he may never play agian. Haven't heard much since the injury. I know he had a Rod put in his leg. So if he comes back to play agian, he may only be a DH type player.

The Nats are likely to want Hughes. If Cashman would make Clippard or Sanchez available, along with Duncan, Proctor, Nieves, and soemthing, I think Johnson and Schneider could be within range. I wouldn't mind getting Patterson either.
