The New York Yankees (1 year deal worth 16 million)
![]() Hopefully he turns back into the old Pettitte (When he was on the Yankees). We needed starting pitching really bad so im glad we signed Pettitte. Hopefully Roger Clemens follows Pettitte then our starting pitching would be fine (At least i hope that would make it fine). Im glad to see Pettitte back in NY and im sure he will help our pitching staff out a lot. Quote:

I'm one who thought Andy should never have left New York. Ironically, this time it was the Astros who didn't work hard enough or make a real offer to keep him, so he's back where he should have been all along.
Andy is still a solid pitcher. If he turns into the old Pettitte, great, but we don't need that. We need him to be a very solid third starter and that will most likely be what he gives us. I've followed Andy's career since he was in A ball and I'm thrilled to see him back in The Bronx. Now get us a good backup catcher and a good utility infielder.
