Not even solid enough to be a rumor, but...
Yankees GM Brian Cahman and White Sox GM Kenny Williams were seen talking at the Winter Meetings. Williams says it was just a chat among friends, but they each has something the other can use. The White Sox would like to trade one of their starting pitchers (Buehrle, Garcia, or Vazquez) to get a reliever and put Brandon McCarthy into the rotation. The Yankees are looking for starting pitching and are willing to move Kyle Farnsworth. Would Farnsworth to the White Sox for either Buehrle, Garcia, or Vazquez work? |

Williams' quote in today's Star-Ledger seems to contradict that:
"There's just not a fit for us. I have no interest in getting him better, and he's got no interest in getting me better." That said, I think it would take more than Farnsworth to get a starter from them, and I don't want to see Vasquez anywhere near a mound wearing pinstripes. |

I don't get how even if this may be true, how Kyle Fansworth is enough for any one of these guys. I would pull the trigger for any of those guys for Farnsworth except Vazquez. His second halves of seasons are notoriously bad and that is basically when the Yankees' season begins: down the stretch and in the playoffs.
