Darius Kasparaitis was placed on waivers by the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

Kasparaitis has been a healthy scratch the past three games. Should he not be claimed, it is unknown whether he will report to Hartford of the AHL or not. Should you have him on your fantasy roster, drop him immediately.

The Rangers will reportedly call up Daniel Girardi once Darius Kasparaitis clears waivers.

Girardi has put up pretty high point totals as a defenseman in the AHL, but we can't recommend him for fantasy purposes until his role is known. The move isn't even official yet, so stay tuned for more information.
