I just saw that as well. I was looking forward to having Tank Owens on the team...but I think he only had a fastball. Oh well.

I like the trade, mostly for Vargas. Maybe Peterson can fix him in 10 minutes. He had a solid rookie season and is still young and a lefty.

Owens and Lindstrom both throw hard but only throw it straight.

There are rumblings in the Seattle blog community that Lindstrom is about to change teams again. Coming to the Mariners in the end.

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time.


A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.

I like this trade for the Mets (even though I know very little about Adam Bostick). Trade a couple of older pitchers for a couple of younger ones. Seems like a good move by Omar Minaya.
