glad to be back in more comfortable surroundings, I go way back to when we were called BaseballBoards.com and I moderated the major league baseball board...I hope to get reacquainted with the old crew...

Wonderful to be back here; since NYFO turned to garbage and TSB hasn't taken off yet I hope to make this my home. As far as I'm concerned this was the closest I have seen to a perfect board and I hope we can pick up where we left off.

How wonderful. I've been a free agent of sorts since NYFO became unreadable, and it's great to see that this is back.

Hey, I remember Baseballboards too. I hardly ever ever posted but read everyday, from baseball boards, to Fanhome and now to Scout. It's great to read familiar handles. Lets make this great! Go mets! I'll try and do my part, not just peruse but add thoughts and insight.

I used to post a lot on the Mets' board at Baseball Boards and the old Fanhome under my old name, pre-1991 Braves Fan. Both our boards turned to crap after the Scout takeover and having to read "smack" written by people with a three year old's mentality isn't enjoyable.

We used to have a lot of cross over traffic and most posts were civl and good natured. Hopefully those days can return.

BTW, seeing Glavine win #300 in a Mets uniform will be sad. Although not quite as bad as seeing Niekro do it as a Yankee.

We used to have a lot of cross over traffic and most posts were civl and good natured. Hopefully those days can return.

BTW, seeing Glavine win #300 in a Mets uniform will be sad. Although not quite as bad as seeing Niekro do it as a Yankee.

Good to be back!! I, like many others, have been here since baseballboards.com even though I was never a big-time poster.

Looking forward to a great year of reading (and hopefully writing some) great posts culminating in the 'Mets suck, they need a whole of 6 games to wrap up 2007 World Series title' thread.

On another note, what's with the smiley deficiency? Don't tell me the Braves board doesn't get the unlimited, royalty-free, use of the barfey smiley

. Ah well, Kolb is gone so they might not need it as much as usual. OTOH, the Colorado schoolsystem spokesman is back
