I was browsing the news when I saw the [url=http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18356736/]MSNBC report about a former Mets employee pleading guilty to several charges:

This is not the kind of attention the Wilpon's want on the franchise... |

This certainly isn't what the MLB needed, and it will only continue to overshadow the game until many players come clean, literally and figuratively

hell, BUD SELIG needs to come clean. He hasn't really taken a stance on it at all because he has been one of the parties profiting with thanks to players using performance enhancers. Whatever helps sell tickets and all...
This really hits me because I grew up with the Mets during this timespan and while I can understand if certain players used performance enhancers on the roster between 1985-1995, I really don't want to find out some of my childhood idols were among them. |

according to the articles I read he didn't start dealing until 1995 after he had left the organization...so I wouldn't say the Mets are involved but rather a former mets employee....he just used whatever connections he may have gained to get his enterprise going....
