he wanted his regulars to stay well, regular.....baseball works out like that and maybe Milledge will start against the next lefty for his defense?
Not a bad move...as a Mets fan I still cringe thinking of Glavines desire to return to Atlanta and when they presumably turned him down the Mets treated him like a returning hero...left a bad taste in my mouth sort of Clemenslike...but he had stopped handing Braves games last year and if he just hadn't made those yearn for the old home comments I would've almost liked him...and he pitched well today...sorta like AROD hitting well...anyway Delgado set the tone and the Mets followed thus....not a fun game but so far so good overall. ![]() |
