That opening day game is going to be a doozy, two great pitchers! If I had to guess I would think the Mets take 2 out of 3, probably the last two.
What spot is Zito in the rotation?

Mets fielding saves their collective asses. Pitching Glavine again good for five innings ...with Valentin giving excellent pivots and plays with Reyes at Second the game was actually worth watching as opposed to the Exhibition season borefest. Clutch hits by La Duca keeps him in the 2nd spot.....Rare Center Field Camera shot gave the perfect view of Beltran throwing out Eckstein at home on the fly....the fielding and clutch hitting give a positive preview and Valentin saved both Glavine and Heilmans butts with superior defense...Grade A first game ...fun to watch.

One learns in life that in a National Audience broadcast it can usually be assumed that if a NY team is involved the announcers will be for the opposition be it home or away. The NY audience is given as a large fan base so many broadcasters feel the natural appeal is to the "outside" NY teams fanbase. To me Joe Morgan was unusually benevolent to the Mets..the other moron just rattled on and on and on.........
