Rick Peterson signed to 3 year deal

Mets signed pitching coach Rick Peterson to a three-year contract.

Peterson finished up his original three-year deal with the Mets at the end of last season, but there was never any talk of him leaving. The Mets also announced that third-base coach Sandy Alomar, bullpen coach Guy Conti, hitting coach Rick Down and bench coach Jerry Manuel have each signed two-year deals.

Sounds like there is a lot of confidence in the coaching staff these days. That sure is a nice change for a Mets franchise after Art Howe's CLUB MET.

Great news... he has done an excellent job so far. Given that the rotation is still shaky it is a big calming effect to be set on the coaching front.

ya but if he does what he did last year that is gogin to be exactly what we are going to need this year with our young pitching staff.
