Wow!!!! and here I thought the Rangers would be the crazy ones... They actually made a decent offer... according to the article the Mets offered 75 to 80 for 5 yrs which I think was fair... so I guess we'll have to go the trade route and Omar is pretty damn good in this area... good luck to Zito and the Giants is all I can say...

Wow... this is quite the contract! The Mets offer was good if it is as reported; the Giants offer is so much better that it leaves no place for 'We should have offered more!!' comments.

Well, good luck to him; Boras played the market to perfection... what else is new?

Maybe the Mets should just take Randy and make the Yankees give them something else in addition. Won't happen, but I like the idea. Randy will post great numbers in the NL despite his age and injuries, IMO.

Why did they offer so much? A take it or leave it deal? They could have saved 20mil and still beaten or bid.
