Mets Fire Willie -- At 3:15 AM

The Mets fired manager Willie Randolph.

They fly him across the country (to Anaheim), whre he gets his seodn straight win, then they can him in the middle of the night and make the announcement by press release.

Utterly classless, but I expect no different from these folks.

They fired the wrong guy. Omar ruined the Expos/Nationals and now he is ruining the Mets. Someone had to go to cover Omar's fat butt. Willie had to be sacrificed. If they continue to suffer maybe everyone will now see who's realy responsible. (Hint: Not Willie.)

Minaya is basically incompetent, as well as classless.

I think they both should have gotten fired. Randolph lost my support when he played the race card.

This season is a wash.

Agreed.

But also, to be honest, I never really liked Willie. He would not have been my first choice for manager. Having said that I was not in the WIC club. But it was clear that Randolph was overmatched.
