Default Francis and Knicks talking buy-out

Quote:
Peter Vecsey of the New York Post reports that according to a source, the Knicks are talking about buying out Steve Francis' contract.

Francis, currently in Houston rehabbing his knee, is making $15 million this season and is signed for $16.44 million next season and $17.8 million for the season after that. This is the clearest indication yet that the Knicks are finally willing to concede what a mistake the Francis-Stephon Marbury backcourt experiment was.
From the Post / Rotoworld

I think everyone would be in agreement that this would be a good move

I can't even begin to imagine who would be interested in him. I don't see any contender showing much interest.
