Default Chris Mullin coming to New York?

Quote:
Golden State Warriors GM Chris Mullin could be coming home to save the New York Knicks according to a report in the New York Post Friday. The Post indicated Mullin could emerge as a top candidate for the Knicks GM job if Isiah Thomas eventually is fired.

Mullin, the former St. John's sharp-shooting superstar out of Brooklyn told a confidant Wednesday that an employee from the organization, during an informal chat, secretly asked Mullin if he'd be interested in coming to the Knicks if the GM spot is open next summer according to The Post.

Mullin, 43, is in his fourth season as Golden State's executive VP of basketball operations. He has constructed a young, athletic team.

I wouldn't count on it though, Michael Dolan has a fancy for Isiah Thomas so I imagine they will ride the storm out. Mullin did build a pretty good team at Golden State that can win together, after basically Golden State had little success.
