Default Jets vs Patriots (Mangini vs Belichick)

The Jets and Pats tied the season series with the Pats winning in week 2: 24-17 and the Jets winning in week 10: 17-14.

Everytime these teams play you know the game is gonna be close. Since 2001 not many of the games between these 2 teams have been blowouts. These teams have great defenses (The Pats Defense is better of coarse). If your thinking the Jets have a horrible Defense think again because heres a fact for you: In the second half of the NFL Season (Week 9 and on) the Jets allowed only 102 Points while the Ravens allowed 110 Points!! BTW in case your wondering how many points the Pats gave up in the second half of the season it was 150 .

The Jets young and talented Defense is lead by Jonathan Vilma who lead the team with 114 Tackles and 1 INT. But dont forget about the other great defensive players we have:
  • Erik Coleman had 101 Tackles and 1 INT
  • Eric Barton had 100 Tackles and 4.5 Sacks
  • Victor Hobson had 100 Tackles, 6 Sacks and 1 INT
  • Bryan Thomas lead the Jets with 8.5 Sacks
  • Last but not least Kerry Rhodes who had 99 Tackles (76 were solo), 5 Sacks, 3 Forced Fumbles and 4 INT's.

Fun Fact: Coles had 2 Tackles and they were both solo .

Pennington had a great year and many doubted him before the season started (Even me ).

Pennington's season stats: RAT 82.6 | YDS 3,352 | TD 17 and 64.5 % on Completions and 313 Completions.

The Jets have a chance to win this game and i think the Jets will win this game in a nail bitter 19-17.

Ill leave the Pats fans to tell there side of the story .

The game is at 1:00 PM EST on Sunday

Good luck to the Jets. They'll need it in Foxboro...

Yes, it was. Good job NY Jets. But, as a Houston Texans fan, I welcome you to the offseason.

(Actually I just wanted to use the welcome smilie)
