Can you justify giving $2.9 million dollars to a forward that barely scored 30 points last season while playing with some of the most dynamic offensive talents in the NHL at current?

Ruslan Fedotenko is a pouty whiner who played himself off the top lines in Tampa Bay with thanks to not getting a big contract last off season. Is he useable? Yeah. Does he have ability? Yup. Is he worth nearly 3 million dollars? No way.

It seems like a depsperate signing to keep the fans calm about all the players they lost. At least Snow pulled of the Guerin and Comrie deals, and hopefully next offseason he could hang onto Comrie.
