Stamkos still No.1 for scouts
On the occasion of the NHL entry draft lottery, TSN's Bob McKenzie surveyed NHL scouts in the last week to put together a provisional top 10 ranking of the top prospects. TSN's final draft ranking, which usually includes at least the Top 50, does not come out until the week before the draft in June. 2. Zach Bogosian. Hampered by a broken bone in his wrist in the playoffs, the Peterborough Pete defenceman from Massena, NY, rocketed up the charts this season because he's the total package - a strong skater who can generate offence, hit, fight and play with an edge. 2007-08 Stats with Peterborough (OHL): 60 GP, 11 G, 50 A, 61 PTS, 72 PIM |

Humor me, would the Isles even entertain the idea of trading up for the top slot and what would they offer to get it?

Okposo,Comeua,Bergenheim and or the #5 pick for Stamkos. Not when the Isles think they can land a stud at #5. Reportedly Snow says Stamkos is the clear #1 this yr,but that the Isles scouts are raving about Filatov.Nemchenov coached Filatov at a recent international competition.I'm pretty sure that Sergei Nemchenov also scouts for the isles. If Filatov's there at #5,I expect the isles to pick him.If he's gone,I expect they'll take one of the remaining top 4 defensemen. |
