Default Week 5: Cleveland Browns @ NE Patriots l 1 ET

This is another one of those dangerous games for teh Pats.

They do get Harrison back, tho I'm not sure how much time he'll really get on the field.

Browns can hang with us, if all goes right, but I still think that the Pats led by Brady and the Defense will continue this season on a great note.

GO PATS GO

I also just got Direct TV, so I will get to see this game. YAY!!

Harrison has been activated and will play in today's game

Quote:
Harrison returned to the team last Tuesday, and on Friday, coach Bill Belichick said the safety had an abundance of energy in practices during the week.

The question remains how much Harrison will play today against the Browns. Third-year veteran James Sanders has been solid as his replacement, and it's likely the two will split snaps as Harrison works his way toward the comfort level he had reached in the preseason.

Harrison will not be the only player in today's game returning from a banned substance suspension. The Browns activated right tackle Ryan Tucker, who was suspended four games in early August for violating the league's steroid policy. To make room for Tucker, the Browns released offensive tackle Kelly Butler.

In releasing Rivers, the Patriots enter today's game with just two pure tight ends on the roster: Kyle Brady and Benjamin Watson. Rivers could return to the team after the game, as the Patriots will need another tight end since David Thomas (foot) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. The Patriots probably decided that they needed depth in other areas today, such as running back, where Laurence Maroney (groin) has been slowed.

Short and sweet

Well I missed most of the first quarter, but I know we had a pick of the Browns.

The score is currently 10-0 Pats, and the Browns have the ball.

Browns just took a shot downfield and we're unsuccessful.

Browns now punting...

Welker with a minimal return, Pats get the ball back with 9 seconds left in the 1st quarter

Sammy Morris is doing a nice job of filling in for Maroney

I really like his no quit in his running. He just pushed a defender about 3 yards, earning him a 1st down when he shouldn't have gotten it

Seau picks off Anderson and almost rumbles to a TD, but comes up short.

Same play, Thomas limps off the field with help from the trainers.

Patriots win their 5th straight game. Capping the game off with a fumble recovery, and returned for a TD.

Pats looked a little shaky in the 2nd half but continued to find a way to ensure themselves of a win.

I was very disappointed by New England's performance in this game. Sure, the final score makes it look as though the Patriots dominated, but anyone who watched this game knows that the Browns beat themselves. If the Patriots play that sloppily against the Cowgirls this Sunday, the hopes for an undefeated season will not be realized in New England. The Patriots need to improve upon their nearly non-existent run defense, and on their offensive execution in the red zone. I don't want to see the other team march down the field with 5 yard runs up the middle, nor do I want to settle for field goals from the 20 yard line. The Patriots have the personnel and the experience to do better in those areas. They shouldn't have to capitalize on the errors of the other team in order to score touchdowns.
