Angry Cop gets 5 yrs for his part of Tocchet Gambling Ring

So now that this story has completely come out, and we hopefully know all the facts about it we can hopefully move foward from it.

I can't understand though how the Yotes haven't outright dismissed Tocchet for his role in this ring. I mean he was apparently the main man, and yet he still is technically connected the Coyotes.

You would think a team that has struggled with fan support, success on the ice even though they have the greatest player coaching them, would want to distance themselves from a situation like this.

I hope they throw the book at Tocchet, especially after he continued the black eye theme for the NHL, at a time when the NHL couldn't afford anymore bad press.

TSN : NHL - Canada's Sports Leader

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) - A former state trooper who admitted to running a sports betting ring with former NHL star Rick Tocchet was sentenced Friday to five years in prison.

Under a plea agreement he struck with prosecutors a year ago, James Harney could have been sentenced to up to seven years in prison. Tocchet has also pleaded guilty and faces sentencing this month.
