I think Peter Forsberg in his prime was the complete package!

Lidstrom is my favorite overall defenseman that is currently playing.

i also had to go with Peter Forsberg back in his good days. Honarable mention to Lidstrom, The Bure Brothers, and Jari Kurri

I say Jari Kurri, as I have a real affinity for Finnish players, for some reason. He and Esa Tikkanen were my favourite European NHLers growing up (until Jere Lehtinen came along...)

For me I chose Forsberg, even though I almost went with Kurri.

Personally I think that this question is almost too vague, because it's hard to say Kurri is better than Lidstrom, when they played two entirely different positions and roles on their teams.

But I'll go with the offensive side an stick with Foppa.
