With thanks to me misphrasing the initial post talking about leads being blown in the last five minutes and games tied.

(heh, and you thought I would follow things up with another joke )

BTW -- was it just me or was someone from Ottawa mugged in front of the Anaheim goal in the closing seconds?

really i never would've guessed that. But to say it's impossible is completely ludicrist. Any team can change their fortunes around, just gonna be intersting to see if the Sens can turn their game up.

The Tampa Bay area is planning on showing the All-Children's telethon instead of game 3 on Saturday.

I realize the telethon is important and donate every year, but come on, it's the Stanley Cup playoffs for crying out loud! Can't they show it on another channel?

Well apparently you haven't guessed that the series is over which most other people have.

Damn Hawkeye, that blows. Try checking to see if they are going to put it on VS. This is part of the problem with the NBC deal that Bettman signed.

Traci, they won't put it on Vs. At best another local station (read -- an independent station) will pick it up. But right now that is unknown.

If it goes on cable, there is a good chance it will be SunSports TV (a Fox Sports Net affiliate which broadcasts TB Lightning games) that will get it. But I expect a small independent station to get it.

UPDATE

The Tampa Bay Market WILL have the games telecast. The Tampa Bay Lightning brokered the deal themselves, buying air time on a UHF station that most people can receive (on cable).

Update in the Lightning territory. They had a local station setup to show it and the Lightning was buying the sponsorship to have their fans see the game, then the major owner said no.

Then 2 hours later, Brighthouse Network is taking it over by showing it on their local sports channel and will also show it on NBC's high-def channel and show the telethon on the regular NBC one.

Woohoo!!!

Game on.

The crowd is def. into things so far... but it remains to be seen if the Sens are going to feed off of that.

PP Ducks, this thing is looking pretty physical. Some nastiness is showing too.

Come on Sens don't break!!

Great kill so far for the Sens. Two short handed chances on things. The Ducks just can't get organized.
