Default Most surprising signing thus far?

I thought I'd bring this up, as we're getting into the Free Agency period now.

What do you feel is the most shocking/surprising signing to date? What was the most uninspired signing on the free agency period? Which team has gained the most so far?

------------

For me, the most surprising signing would have to be Marcus Naslund to the Rangers. I would've gone with Sean Avery with the Stars, but I have to admit that Naslund signing with the Rangers tops that one for me. I doubt anyone truly saw this particular deal coming, especially after going and getting Nicolai Zerdev just prior to the move. Very surprising, and it will certainly make for a very interesting period of Canucks history, leading to an interesting start to the next season.

Uninspired -- I'd have to say there are several, but I suppose Owen Nolan to the Wild would have to take the cake this year. He was a great player in his day, but I haven't seen anything of particular brilliance in quite some time from him, so essentially it's a bit of a wasted signing...

Gained the most -- I'd have to say the Rangers, with Naslund, Kalinin and Redden. The Sharks have gained quite a bit, too, but I think the Rangers have the edge by any standards.

As expected, the Stars have been very quiet with the exception of picking up Avery and loosing Mittens and Hagman...not much fun, but certainly what Stars fans knew would be happening.
