Default Monday Night: Jags VS. Giants

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/9817590

Quote:
(Nov. 20, 2006) -- There is a tremendous sense of urgency for both teams in the Monday Night Football game. The Giants are scrambling to hold on to their NFC East lead with a team full of injuries, while the Jaguars may look back at this season and blame two losses to the Texans for not making the playoffs.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin returns to Jacksonville with a talented team that is making too many mistakes, while his star running back has a sprained thumb that will make him a target when he carries the ball. Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio knows the Giants put the ball in Tiki Barber's hands 39 percent of the time and he will rely on a defense that has two shutouts at home, where no opposing team has scored more than 17 points.

The three biggest questions surrounding this MNF game for the Giants are:
1. Can the Giants protect Eli Manning's blindside with left tackle Luke Petitgout out for the year?
2. Will the Giants be able to apply pressure on David Garrard without their top pass rushers?
3. Can the Giants get the ball in the hands of Jeremy Shockey early and often?

The three biggest questions for the Jaguars to answer are:
1. Can Garrard return to the form of a few weeks ago when he didn't throw interceptions?
2. Can Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew deliver a 150-yard rushing night and keep the Giants offense off the field?
3. Will cornerback Rashean Mathis be able to cover Plaxico Burress, who scores a touchdown once every seven receptions?
Thats only part of the article. To read the rest click on the link provided. Anyways I was wondering who is going to watch this game? It should be an interesting but I think the Giants will win 28-14 with Eli coming up big.

I agree. Even though the injury has cought up with them, I cant see Jax taking this one. NYG needs this game.

This is a big game for both clubs.

The Giants need to play smart football today. Hopefully they run and run often. I read Stroud and Henderson are both supposedly going to be active, but they won't be 100%.

Game only few hours away.

Miami has won three straight and while our playoff chances are slim, there is still hope!

C'mon Giants, beat those Jags!

Note: I need Eli to have a big game for my fantasy league but the other guy has Plaxico Burress in one league and in another league my opponent has Shockey so how about 3 rushing TDs for Eli?

You Can Do It!

The Giants offense is tricky. Sometimes they look like a million bucs, sometimes they look really bad.

The defense I can understand, because of the injuries, but the offense?!?! Toomer can't have that big of an impact.

Also, is the Eli Manning for Philip Rivers looking like San Diego got the best of the deal???
