I don't see it happenin' in my life time. If it does.....it might make me mad. If it makes me mad, I may never go to another Super Bowl again. Think of the loss revenues. Think of the bartender they won't need cause I ain't there. The cab driver. The dude that sells the big foam fingers. The ticket scalper, don't forget the ticket scalper.......all outta work cause they made me mad.
No. I see em leavin' the Super Bowl right here in the good ole USA!!!!! What's that ya say????? How many Super Bowls have I been to?????? Well none actually. But if I ever do GET to go to one, I sure hope it's in the USA!!! Or it just might make me mad. |

That would blow balls. Football is an American sport, not some razzy dazzy snubbish cavier sport. Football is tough and its an American tradition and it should be kept that way. Its bad enough they have to play a game from now on in another country.
It will makes the fans less interested, just like when MLB became a world sport. That dang American Dream is dying. The child is gone, the dream is broke.

I think it would do wonders for the sport. It would create an international interest in the game that doesn't truly exsist right now. It also would then get high TV ratings in every american city, instead of every american city minus one. My only question is who would be the home team, because isn't it usually the Home team is which conference the stadium is in?

I'm just saying why should the NFL not try and market itself more aggressively to the other 6Billion people in the world?
Trust me, 100M people in North America will watch the Super Bowl if its in London or Tokyo.

I hear ya Dave....I was just havin' a little fun with ya.
I think they should play the Super Bowl in the town of the team in the game that has the best record for that year. Figure out a way to break ties and go for it. What do ya think about that????? |

One of the reasons why the Super Bowl is so popular has to do with it being a destination event. Two weeks of buildup to visit a place that most of America dreams to be. Think, if you are in Buffalo in Feburary would you really want to watch a snow storm in Chicago? Or an event/game in Miami, San Diego, etc?

Football should take a lesson from baseball. Sure the revenue goes up, which it obviously should, but football is viewed as American, like beer, apple pie, and rock n' roll. It feels like they are neglecting the fans on the homeland in my opinion by telling us hey dudes we don't need you we got foreigners. For one thing football hasn't even nearly caught on in the world like baseball has, so it's a mistake
