Ricky Williams applies for reinstatement

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ricky Williams, the former NFL star who played in Canada last season after being suspended for a year for substance abuse, has applied for reinstatement.

Williams' agent, Leigh Steinberg, said the running back, who will turn 30 in May, had sent a letter asking that he be allowed to return to the Miami Dolphins.

The NFL confirmed that Williams had sought reinstatement, for which he will be eligible after April 27, when he will have been suspended for a year. Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said the team had no comment because Williams is not yet eligible for reinstatement.

What do you all think of Ricky?

Personally I used to like him when he was with Texas, he was my favorite running back. But then he started acting like a jerk in New Orleans and we all know the antics he pulled in Miami!

Hopefully if he gets reinstated he gets his act together because I would like to see him playing again someday....

Let him stay in Canada. I never liked the guy, i didn't want the Eagles to take him, thank goodness they didn't, Let him play in the arena league before letting him play again in the NFL.

Ricky may be a 'deep' guy, getting in touch with his spirituality thru Yoga now or whatever... but too many strikes

Even though he's dead, he's the better choice! Superdelegates - Because even the Democratic party knows it's base is too stupid to make really important decisions.
