Default LenDale White Titans' Starter?

I read that the Titans released Travis Henry. This seems to make LenDale the new starting RB. Any thoughts on this?

I am not sold on Lendale White. Wasn't he out of shape last year and he had some hamstring problems. I think they need to bring in a veteran to share the load.

They'll have to bring in someone else because even if he starts he was never the kind of guy who could handle the entire load of a starter (remember a guy named Reggie Bush?) Basically they need to compliment him with someone quick and in the same style as Bush. Maybe they'll be looking to address this in the draft...

yeah maybe. Correll Buckhalter? Kevan Barlow? Maybe those 2 guys would interest Tennesee, or how about Corey Dillon?

Eh, they don't want a back like Buckhalter or Barlow. They will address it in the draft with maybe a guy like Chris Henry from Arizona.

just because usc used both bush and white doesnt mean that white can't shoulder the load. it just means that he didnt. i guess we'll see what tennessee thinks after the draft and FA signing is done.

If the Titans don't bring in another back, preferably a veteran I'd be shocked.

I would not say that LenDale White cannot carry the load, but I do think that Tennessee should bring in another back (via free agency or draft) just in case. Having a good backup never hurts.

There were plenty of occasions where LenDale carried the load of a #1 back...it just so happens they also had #5...He'll dominate more and more as VY grows.

I think this is a good move for the Titans, there is no doubt that White can handle the load, imo

I mean go back and look at some of the people that covered USC and their were some that argued that White was the better RB than Bush because Bush isnt a 25 plus carry back while White is.

White needs to prove he can stay healthy.

Well White didnt get off to the best start in the world, per Rotoworld

Quote:
LenDale White weighed in at over 260 pounds when he checked in to Tennessee's offseason conditioning program. He finishes last season at 230 pounds.
Apparently he still doesnt GET IT, this is why his stock fell in the draft and it appears he doesnt care enough to fix it.

Wouldnt be shocked to see the Titans either draft a RB or go out and try to find one now. This isnt a good sign

I can see Corey Dillion heading to Tennessee. It's obvious White doesn't have his head into football if he gained 30 pounds in a few months. Dillion wants to start and Tennessee will start him.

Did White spend too much time here in Philly eating Soft Pretzels and Cheese Steaks? 30 pounds in a few months is pretty hard to do for a normal people like us.
