Default Favre Decides to Return

Quote:
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN (TICKER) -- Brett Favre will call Lambeau Field his home for at least one more season.

Favre ended ongoing speculation regarding his retirement Friday, informing the Green Bay Packers he will return as the team's quarterback in 2007.

Packers general manager Ted Thompson revealed at a news conference that Favre called the team Friday morning to announce his decision.

"He said, 'I think I'm going to give it another shot,'" Thompson said. "I said, 'It sounds good to me.'"

As a bears fan I don't like the move, but what can I say? He is still good, but come on I wish you'd have retired.

Go BEARS!

This guy is a HOF Quarterback, but I hope the Packers actually do decent next year. Favre's career is gonna end on a sour note if he keeps coming back.

Agreed. I admire the competitor in him and I hope he does well, but Favre has been an average quarterback the last two years. I hope he can rebound this year or whichever year is his last to end on a high note.

I hope the pack at least makes a playoff run. Favre deserves to go out on a good note.

Yeah I agree. If they get in the playoffs next year, atleast his career will end on a good note. The Pack need defense and offensive line help.

At this point does it even matter if Brett ends on a good note? He's an NFL legend for what he did in his prime, and nothing will change that (although Peyton is making it look less impressive). The big thing for me, is that I would rather watch Brett Favre play, even if he does have the occasional 0 TD 3 INT game, because it's more fun than watching Aaron Rodgers.
