Default eli is better than rivers.

he's better than rivers, this talk about rivers being better is just trendy, seek to be hip talk that gets started by people who's interest is controversy and not honest observation.

or course eli would have looked better with the chargers talant around him.

i don't how rivers was anything more than a serviceable qb this year.

i don't like his release or mechanics, he hasn't show any exceptional football smarts, i don't see anything, at least yet, that says he is better or will be better then eli.

i'm no huge fan of his but eli is getting a bit of unfair flak.

I think Eli is getting an unfair amount of criticism as well. That being said I'm still going to have to say that Rivers had a better season last year, and by a good margin, you can look it up. Also, you don't like Rivers and his footwork? Mannings' footwork is also very bad, he throws off of his back foot way too often, many times when he doesn't have to. He's very inconsistent and I think that is frustrating a lot of people.

yeah he had a better season but he faced a lot less stress and adversity and have a big shadow in LT to draw a lot of the attention, put rivers in eli's plce this year with all the accompanying hoopoola and i don't think he has such a great year.

sure eli has mechanic issues, that doesn't demish rivers problems, like ridged sidearm realease. i don't see what all the fuss is about.
he's no carson palmer, do you see anything that really stands out that makes you say this guy(rivers) is something special?

i predict rivers never enteres the top class of active qbs. brees is better.

Brees finished second in the MVP this year. Not many QBs compare to him, especially this season.

Until this year it seemed no one even the Chargers wanted to give Brees any credit for being a good QB. But as far Eli and Rivers...Eli is no Peyton. He is what he is and it is not an all-pro qb. He's not bad but he's probably no better than upper half but not top 10 in the NFL right now. Rivers..well who knows, he just hasn't played enough games. As far as him having LT on his side. I'm pretty sure that he'll always have LT, as long as he stays a Charger. So we really won't know what kind of qb he is w/o LT.

Joe Montana and Steve Young both suck because they had awesome offensive players around them.

Rivers has LT and Gates

Eli has Barber, Plax, Toomer, Shockey.

hm looks even to me stop crying and face the fact that Rivers is better than Eli right now and might have a better career.
