Default Michael Vick "coach killer"

Jim Mora Sr. called Vick a "coach killer" on a radio show earlier this week. So do you agree with Mora Sr. and think he is and do you think Michael Vick has the ability to lead a team to the Superbowl?

I think more of the Jim Mora Sr. comments are in order here to get full context of what he said.

But there are a lot of knocks on Vick and part of them are due to Arthur Blank giving Vick everything he wants. Vick IS the show in Atlanta and he knows it. That effects play a bit and attitude a whole lot.

I have no idea what to think of Vick to be honest. He is the Atlanta Falcons in the managements mind but he really is not that great of a QB and until the Falcons realize that they will not win a championship.

So far the Michael Vick experience consists of fumbles, Int's, an occasional TD pass with a decent run. Out of all the QB's who have the ability to scramble, only two or three QB's have won a SB. Kenny Stabler, Steve Young and Brett Favre.

Other than that, the scrambling QB's are not suited to get the job done. See Michael Vick, John Elway won long after his legs could not take him where he wanted to go, Randall Cunningham, Donovan Mcnabb, Fran Tarkenton, Cordell Stewart, Doug Flutie etc...

The only thing he has really shown is that once in a while he'll have a decent game passing against teams with bad secondaries. He makes a lot of bad throws and can't read defenses. The Falcons offense is like a college team. He'll put people in the seats because of his runs, but I don't confuse him for a passing threat as a QB.

I do agree he is fun to watch, but he isn't a good quarterback.

to be a coach killer would be saying that Atlanta has a coach. and I do not think that they do.

"Playoffs?! Playoffs?! You want to talk playoffs?! I just hope we can win a damn game.."

Psshh... Jim Mora Sr. is now a has-been, out of touch with the game. I wouldn't put too much stock into anything he has to say. I don't think he realized that by saying that he's only hurting his son's career.
