This LT bologna is driving me crazy! The bsst players ever are,

1. Lawrence Taylor

3. Art Shell, you guys give O lineman no credit...
4. Reggie White
5. Joe Montana

As for O-Line... I'd have a hard time putting Shell in over Munoz... but I really cannot see putting an o-lineman top 5 ever as an impact player on the game..

As for Lott... I did not have him on my list... but I would not argue with anoyone who has them on theirs.....

give me grimm or jacoby over any o line to every step foot on a football field

...No play is successful without the online doing its job... games are won and lost on the lines...

The toss can be successful without any line blocking whatsoever. But I get your point. I'd have to agree though, that it's harder to put a Lineman in the Top 5 players of all time, because if a RB makes a great play, there's an instant result, if the QB makes a great pass, there is an instant result, if a lineman makes a good block, and then the RB falls on his face before the hole, there's no result. Necessary? Absolutely....eligible for Top 5? I don't see it.

valid points, I just think people tend to overlook what a great linemen adds to a team.... homer example the hogs, greatest o line in football, each one has 1 to 3 rings on their hands.

With that said, I think people are overlooking the importance of DLineman, one real impact DLman is the base for most great Defenses.
