Momentum had not been really stopped... second efforts have always been given a chance in football, as long as knees or other bug body parts are not on the ground

Like I said, if he had taken a serious shot while his legs were tethered by tacklers there would have been hell to pay.

If body parts are not on the ground.... and there is a chance at a second effort... it has always been given the benefit of the doubt in the NFL

So now if you're hit, but not down, you're down? He wasn't dragged or held by defenders after that vicious hit. I was amazed by his effort, amazed by the hit (Tulloch?) and amazed by LT's presence of mind in holding the ball out.
