Kudos to the Chargers for finally making a move at a position they had apparently abandoned, the Wide Receiver spot, picking up the former Pro Bowler Chris Chambers.
The 29 year old Chambers cost the Chargers a 2nd Round pick in 2008, but San Diego had been forced to rely on inexperienced receivers such as Vincent Jackson and rookie Craig Davis as second options to Antonio Gates. Phillip Rivers had been hugely predictable in going to the NFL's premier tight end, so this give the Chargers much more versatility in the offense, and appears to be a prudent move by Chargers' GM AJ Smith. Look for Chambers to be immediately instilled in the Chargers offense following the bye week, considering Cam Cameron runs primarily the same offense in Miami that his mentor Norv Turner runs in San Diego. Also look for Chambers, who had been held without a TD in Miami this year, to step up his game in San Diego. |

Well... I do not think he is the WR he was projected to be, in any way... but he should be an improvement for the Bolts... and at the cost of a future 2nd rounder, he was not outrageously priced
