Default Yi finally inks with Bucks

From Rotoworld

Quote:
Yi Jianlian signed a multi-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks early Wednesday morning.

Terms were not disclosed on the contract for the sixth pick in June's draft, but this is a major news announcement, as it initially appeared that he might never play for the Bucks. Owner Senator Herb Kohl, along with GM Larry Harris, met with Guangdong Tigers owner Mr. Chen Haitao as well as Yi and his family in Hong Kong to negotiate the deal. "There has been a genuine excitement throughout our city and state, as well as internationally, following our selection of Yi in the NBA draft," Kohl said. "We would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge and thank Mr. Chen for his assistance and support in the negotiating process." Charlie Villanueva's fantasy value just took a major hit, while Yi should be targeted any time after the sixth round of your upcoming fantasy draft.
I guess Yi's agent backed down, so much for all of that tough talk

Should be a good thing for the Bucks, if Yi never signed and they were forced to trade him or even worse he sat out the whole year, the Bucks would have been the laughing stock of the NBA.

Regardless, Yi is going to get booed in Milwaukee. It's going to get very ugly there, especially if he struggles.

More than likely he will get booed

If the fans were smart they would cheer him because booing isnt going to help the kid. And you cant really blame him for what happened, like 99% of players hes being lead along by a string from his agent

It was his agent that made his say that he didn't want to play in Milwaukee due to its lack of diversity?

Yi won't get booed. Milwaukee isn't like other cities. I should know, I live there!

Everyone wants Yi to succeed, everyone wants the team to do well. I expect a warm reception.
