Yeah Kobe is a very tempting guy to add to any team. He is a marketing machine, and at the same time he gives fans hope. He led the league in jersey sales by the way last season.
Like TexasG said he may be more dominating in the East, against less tougher competition. As a Bulls fan I would like to see us attempt to get him, but I wonder what the cost would be?

Get it done ISIAH !!!!!!!!!!
The Bulls arent willing to gut their team to get Kobe, Lakers asked for Wallace, Gordon, Deng and the # 9.......Bulls balked...... Rumor is that the Knicks have already offered Lee, Frye, Crawford and 2 1's for Kobe and Cook / Radmonovic.

Any trade would likely start with Deng, Ben Gordon, and Nocioni. That would obviously hurt the Bulls depth but having Hinrich, Kobe, and Ben Gordon in your starting lineup would fair pretty well in the East.

The Bulls do have a lot of depth, that is what so great about the team. But like you said Kobe would be so beneficial for the Bulls to aquire.
I would be willing to part ways with all the guys you mentioned except for Leoul Deng. Deng is going to be to good someday.... This is what a report saids: Quote:
Seems as though the Lakers want quite a lot for Kobe!

Video of Kobe trashing Kupchak, Bynum surfaces:

Ouch, not good for the Lakers goal of keeping Kobe. To bad mouth the team behind their back is low down, after all didn't he want to be the only leader of the team? The people who got the video footage are charging $1.99 for people to view it online! I wouldn't waste a cent.

Slate had an interesting slant on this latest development. The Lakers could just tell Kobe to shut up and show up. If he refuses, the Lakers don't have to pay him and they don't have to trade him. Is he willing to give up the last three years of his prime just to make his point? I doubt it.
If he is, the Lakers can simply hire over him and let him know that when he does come back, he has to earn his spot. Chances are that he would, at which time the team would simply jettison his replacements. |

Kobe Bryant is back on the trading block:
Quote:
According to various sources, the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz are the current front-runners for securing his services. I think he'll remain in Los Angeles unless the Rockets offer Tracy McGrady. Which teams would be good fits for either Bryant or the Lakers at this point in time? I think it would make sense for the Hawks to deal for him. They desperately need a marquee name to bring fans back to their building. They have the necessary cap space and young players to bring #24 to Atlanta. The question is whether the Hawks' frugal and divided ownership would be willing to take on a significant salary. If LA trades Kobe and a team trades for him that team will have to give up its big name players and draft picks. So if Kobe wants to get traded he'll have the same thing with the next team..no depth around him. SO just stay in LA and be miserable there.

Just throwing a thought out there but the Pistons could go after him.
I sure hope not.

Pistons do not have the pieces to get Kobe, the Lakers want back young talent and the Pistons dont have that aside from Prince and Rip and I dont think those 2 would be enough to get Kobe.
The Lakers want Deng and Gordon, they wont get that but thats what their ideal deal would be, IMO
