Stoudamire claims it and Youtube proves it...as a Nets fan I have been rooting for the Spurs ...but this is clearly an attempt by Bowen with his foot behind the shooter (Stoudamire) on his achilles with intent.
Also videos of him undercutting Francis , and Crawford of the Knicks...and if you watch a few more he clearly plays his foot under jumpshooters constantly. Last edited by Blader; 05-11-2007 at 03:55 PM. |

Dont forget Duncan also left the bench so if Amare and Diaw go ( along with Horry ) Duncan should be gone too.
I dont see how they couldnt, its getting a ton of run on ESPN and other outlets. The NBA cant ignore it I would be shocked if they are NOT suspended

Kerr on WFAN brought up the Duncan incident...the Commentators then said that Duncan entered on a play where there was "no altercation"...does the NBA define the Horry/and or Duncan play as an "altercation" ? I say neither could be or both could be , thus noone should get suspended.

Horry suspended for two games
A.Stoudamire for one, Diou for one game Horry with the most blatant violation and yet it is his team that gets off easy.

I'm really amazed at Duncans whiney eyes after every single foul or walk.....Spurs have lost their Classy Lustre.....I'll go with the Pistons...oh wait, my Nets are still in it..why does Vince have the ball over Kidd in crunch in every freakin' game Mr. Frank?

Crawford on Cold Pizza aka First Take brought up a good point.
Why wouldnt teams send players like Horry ( Lesser Players ) after the other teams stars and just take the suspension for the lesser player but the other team loses out on their star player ? The Rule needs to be fixed, and I am sure it will be this offseason

The Spurs are the dirtiest team in basketball. Bowen is the worst offender and Ginobli isn't far behind. I used to like the Spurs when David Robinson was there.
Any rule that rewards teams for dirty play should be changed. There is a real easy fix to this problem - stipulate that the suspensions DO NOT take effect against the instigating team. In this case, Stoudamire and Diaw should have been suspended for game one of the next series or opening day next year. |

Yeah, I thought it was pretty obvious that the Spurs' strategy was to physically punish Nash for daring to do his job. D'Amico failed to protect his player and should be held primarily accountable for the series loss. The right thing to do would have been to send some 2nd-stringer in to end Parker's season. If the refs are going to allow thuggery, you have to have an enforcer.

I sure hope D'Antoni is on the phone to Utah telling them everything he knows. I would hate to see the Spurs in the finals. It's disappointing that the three most exciting teams in the league are all gone. A Pistons-Spurs final would be the worst one ever.
