Interesting concept Montrael...thequestion istho how many people in Montrol are actually basketball fans compared to hockey there...just like Vancouver i think the reason Vancouver lost their franchise is because there are not that many basketball fans there...no support. So next question is how many and which other canadian cities would actualy support a basketball team

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |

No. Canada does not have market for another team.
A new team requires a new owner. I don't see anyone rich person wanting to create another team. If a city is willing to put money in for a new stadium and cover any losses, then maybe. |

Cities that deserve a team before cities in Canada:
Kansas City Las Vegas Seattle

No, Canada doesn't deserve another team, not too big of a fan of having teams in other countries. I mean Canada themselves should work on building a stronger basketball league within Canada, the NBA is worried too much about expansion. Pretty soon the NBA will have a lot of its high caliber players playing in foreign leagues, although basketball in Canada doesn't seem like too much of a threat for the NBA.

Putting another team in the NBA will be more exciting... Create another competition and that will make players work harder
