Milwaukee Bests Top AHL Team in OT
"After four straight losses, the Milwaukee Admirals wanted, needed, a win. The problem Wednesday, on paper, was trying to get by the best team in the American Hockey League, the Rochester Americans. Thanks to a heroic effort from goalie Karl Goehring and timely goals, Milwaukee bested the Amerks, in Rochester , 4-3." In terms of the Admirals...there is not really much help that can be gleamed by taking guys from Milwaukee. This is not the stacked team it used to be; when they had Darren Haydar, Simon Gamache and other guys to pick and choose from as well as a few top flight Predators prospects.
The Admirals do not have a "go-to" guy unless Radulov gets sent back down; and defensively...they lack the punch they used to have when Weber and Suter were here. The pool will get re-filled eventually, just not right away. To sum it up...don't expect much help from the farm...its tapped out.

My Milwaukee friend who went on the trip up to Manitoba must be going crazy right now! If she gives me permission I'll post some of her pictures here, ok?

Don't have many updates on injuries or current hot streaks and cold streaks since I haven't been able to catch many games on the road trip and the games I thought I'd be able to catch weren't on the radio due to Marquette basketball. |
