Default Preview: Rampage at Admirals

Quote:
About the Admirals: The never-ending shakeups with the Nashville Predators have filtered down to the Admirals again as Milwaukee's best defenseman, AHL all-star Sheldon Brookbank, has been called up. Brookbank was the AHL's top scoring defenseman with 36 points (9 goals, 27 assists).

About the Rampage: San Antonio sits in last place of the West Division, but the Rampage has won two of its last three. The team is in the middle of a 16-game trip.

Default Yonkman gets shootout call

Quote:
Nolan Yonkman won't say he was shocked that his was one of five names Milwaukee Admirals coach Claude Noel called out as his lineup for the team's shootout vs. San Antonio on Friday night at the Bradley Center, but he definitely was surprised.

"A little surprised," Yonkman said. "Yep, you could say that."

But the big surprise was on Rampage goalie David LeNeveu. After he stopped the first four Admirals whom Noel sent out to score in the shootout, Yonkman, a lanky defenseman who has scored one goal this season, slipped the winner between LeNeveu's wobbly knees.

Default Admirals Top San Antonio 3-2 in Shoot-out

Quote:
Milwaukee, WI-Coming into tonight's game, no one would have believed that San Antonio's Matthew Spiller and Milwaukee's Nolan Yonkman, a combined one goal between the two of them this season, would be the impact players in Friday's match-up between the two teams. But both played key roles in the Admirals' 3-2 shootout victory.

Default Superstars of the AWA to Visit Admirals

Quote:
Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that five wrestlers from the American Wrestling Association will appear at the Admirals game on Sunday, February 18th in the team's second annual "Super Stars of the AWA" game. Those scheduled to appear include Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel, Larry "The Ax" Hennig, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and Rock 'n Roll Buck Zumhofe.

"The Brain," as Bobby is affectionately known, has encompassed every phase of the wrestling business during his 38 year career and is still recognized as the only major player from the 60's. His capabilities have yet to be surpassed as manager of some of the most influential and famous wrestlers of the century, including Bockwinkel. Heenan's wit and sarcasm has made him also made him one of the top commentators in wrestling, earning the Commentator of the Year Award in the WCW three different times.
