Wow I was listening to the game last night. Houston got a penalty with less than 2 minutes left down by a goal. They scored with 15 seconds left on a puck just sitting on the ice that Goehring couldn't get to. Well after this happened I started yelling and swearing and I still was a few seconds into overtime. Well then I started screaming happily when they got a goal 16 seconds into overtime.

Default Aeros suffer two losses

Quote:
The Milwaukee Admirals needed only 16 seconds in overtime to make the Aeros pay for a costly penalty at the end of regulation.

Nevertheless, Tuesday night in front of 4,033 fans at Toyota Center, the Aeros made it to overtime and took three of a possible four points over two nights against their longtime rivals.

After beating the Admirals at Toyota Center on Sunday, the Aeros had to battle back from a two-goal deficit before falling 3-2 in overtime when Ramzi Abid scored on the first shot of the extra session.

Default Preview: Admirals Vs. Knights

Quote:
About the Admirals: The Admirals are in the throes of one of their busiest weeks of the season, playing seven games in nine days leading up to the AHL's All-Star Game on Monday night in Toronto. Milwaukee will play Houston for the second time in three nights in search of its first victory against the Aeros this season. The Admirals find themselves tied for third in the West Division with Peoria with 49 points. Rich Peverley is 11th in AHL scoring with 47 points: 18 goals and 29 assists. Admirals goalie Karl Goehring took Friday night off, when Pekka Rinne returned from the disabled list. It was Goehring's first night off since Nov. 26, a span of 23 games, 22 of which he started.

About the Knights: The Knights are another team that the Admirals need to get even with. Omaha is 4-1 vs. the Admirals this season, including a humiliating 7-1 drubbing the Knights dished out in Milwaukee's home opener. The Admirals' victory over the Knights was a 3-2 decision Dec. 20 in Omaha.

Default Working overtime does not pay off

Quote:
Omaha, Neb. - The Milwaukee Admirals put in some extra time at the office Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, they could not finish the job.

Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights goaltender Curtis McElhinney was responsible for that.

McElhinney swatted away Rich Peverley's attempt in the shootout to seal Omaha's 4-3 victory over the Admirals in an American Hockey League game before a crowd of 2,117 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.

Default AHL: Moss returns to help Knights nab seventh straight win

Quote:
While he had nothing to do with Omaha's previous six wins, Dave Moss played a major role Wednesday night in the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' seventh straight victory.

Moss, who has been playing the past month with the parent Calgary Flames, had two goals to help Omaha post a 4-3 shootout win over the Milwaukee Admirals. The second-place Knights climbed within two points of Western Division leader Chicago, which plays Friday night at Omaha.

About the Stars: The Admirals could top off their vengeance week with a victory here. The Stars, although a notch below Milwaukee in the West Division standings, have beaten the Admirals four times in four meetings this season. The Stars were the only team in the league to beat the Admirals in regulation during the month of December. Iowa is coached by Dave Allison, who was the Admirals' coach from 2000-'02 and employed as his assistant current Admirals coach Claude Noel
