Victory fashioned in road uniforms

Claude Noel's only regret was that he hadn't thought of it first.

Since the road team had won the first four meetings between the Milwaukee Admirals and Chicago Wolves this season, it made perfect sense that the Admirals crack out their traveling grays for Saturday night's game at the Bradley Center. Coincidence or not, the team wearing the road uniforms won again, albeit with a slight twist.

The Admirals, wearing their pajama-looking gray uniforms with black trim, put the Wolves to sleep, 4-2, before a lively crowd of 8,953, the team's second-largest home crowd of the season.

Prospect all-stars:

Sheldon Brookbank and Ville Koistinen, two prospects from the Predators' American Hockey League affiliate Milwaukee Admirals, have been selected to play in the AHL all-star game Jan. 29 game at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.

Brookbank, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Lanigan, Saskatchewan, will play for the Canadian team, while Finnish-native Koistinen will face Brookbank as a member of the PlanetUSA team, made of players born outside of Canada.

Brookbank has played in 37 games for the Admirals this season and Koistinen 26.

Default Preview: Admirals vs. Rampage

Quote:
About the Admirals: The Admirals hit the road for three games after a satisfying 4-2 victory over first-place Chicago on Saturday at the Bradley Center. The AHL announced Tuesday that Admirals defensemen Sheldon Brookbank and Ville Koistinen had been selected to play in the AHL All-Star Classic, Jan. 28 and 29 at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. Brookbank, the Admirals' captain, is second among AHL defensemen in scoring and third on the Admirals with 25 points (seven goals and 18 assists). Koistinen, a native of Oulu, Finland, has 17 points (five goals and 12 assists) in his first season in the AHL.

About the Rampage: The lone bright spot for the last-place Rampage has been goalie Josh Tordjman. He ranks fifth in the AHL with his average of 2.35 goals allowed per game and his 92.7% saves percentage.
