Predators may lose Langfeld on waivers

Assuming no further injuries for the Predators this week, the most likely players to get reassigned are forwards Matt Ellison and Josh Langfeld, defenseman Janne Niskala and one of two goalies — Dan Ellis or Pekka Rinne.

Ellison, Langfeld and Ellis would have to clear waivers if reassigned, meaning they would be subject to getting claimed by other NHL teams.

Langfeld is a character player, and hopefully for the Preds he clears waivers but It will be surprising if he does in fact clear waivers.
