Would Montreal baseball fans support a minor league team playing in the city or province? A triple A farm team for Toronto or another northeast team?

I know of a major-league team that is having problems getting a stadium. Perhaps they could talk to the Montreal authorities.
What happened to the Labatt Park site? Perhaps Montreal should find the money to put up a brand-new tennis center and reconvert the current one back to what it was -- a ballpark. (But you'd need foul poles. i understand the OIB sold the Big O foul poles to the DC Sports and Exposition Authority.) |

It would be one helluva uphill climb to get people in Quebec interested in baseball once again.
As nyexpo mentions, they once had the crowd and the support, but really bad ownership ruined the franchise to the point where the locals didn't care. I'd think it's next to impossible to undo the damage that Loria brought upon the team. |
