Yashin wants to be a Hab
According to a report on RDS.ca, Alexei Yashin, whose contract was recently bought out by the New York Islanders, relishes the thought of playing for the Canadiens. Mark Gandler, Yashin's agent, believes the situation in Montreal would be ideal for both parties. "Alex gets along very well with Andrei Markov and Alex Kovalev, and I am convinced he would find a way to get Sergei Samsonov going, if he has the chance. Also, he has a good relationship with Saku Koivu, because Alex trained often in Turku, Finland," Gandler said. Gandler said his client is perfectly healthy and has recovered from a knee injury. He adds that Yashin, a 6-foot-3 centre, knows he has a lot of things to prove next season. |

He means thet Yashin would be a player who wouldn't try very hard like Samsonov and wouldn't produce.
