Default Huet to miss regular season

ESPN.com - NHL - Habs' Huet to miss rest of regular season after surgery

Quote:
The Montreal Canadiens will be without the services of goalie Cristobal Huet for the rest of the regular season.

Huet had hamstring surgery on Sunday and, although he told reporters on Tuesday that he will be out of the rest of the regular season, he hopes to return for the playoffs, according to a report on TSN of Canada's Web site.

The 31-year-old Huet tore his left hamstring while trying to stop a Brian Rafalski goal during the Canadiens' 5-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

The team's top goalie, Huet is 19-15-3 this season with a .918 save percentage and .274 goals-against average.
This is very bad news. If the Habs do make the play-offs and Huet is back he wont be playing anyways because David will have secured the starting job by then. If the Habs fall to far back out of the play-off race I would like to see Halak get some minutes.
