Default Huet leaves door open for Price

Carey Price said he knows he's going to get his chance to play and it might come sooner rather than later for the Canadiens' rookie goaltender.
When Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau was asked yesterday whether he would stick with the same lineup for tomorrow night's game in Pittsburgh, he was non-committal.
And when he was asked whether Price's debut was on the horizon, he said: "I don't know yet. It's something we've talked about, but we'll see tomorrow. Obviously, we don't want to keep Carey two or three weeks without playing."

Cristobal Huet has started the first two games and, if he had played lights-out hockey, there would be no debate over who starts tomorrow. Huet's performance has been okay, but he's left the door open for the kid. While a game against the high-powered Penguins is a formidable test, there's no better way to gauge if Price belongs in the National Hockey League.
Grabovski has to show more: Mikhail Grabovski is known for his speed, but he's off to a slow start in the NHL. At times, he has looked lost playing on a line with Alex Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn. He has only one shot in two games and has won only three of 12 faceoffs.
But Carbonneau is taking a patient approach.
"He's young; he's still learning," Carbonneau said after the Canadiens practised in Verdun yesterday. "Everything is new for him. We just played two teams that he didn't have the chance to play against and for him, everything was new. Pittsburgh's going to be a little different. We played them a couple of times in the preseason. It's still early in the season, but obviously we expect a little bit more."
Younger Koivu feeling at home: Saku Koivu's younger brother, Mikko, has been with the Minnesota Wild for two seasons, but he told Mike Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune he's just starting to feel at home in the Twin Cities.
"It was the first time I really felt I was coming home," Koivu said of his flight from Finland last month. "When I first turned pro, I missed going back to play with my friends in Finland. I just didn't feel as comfortable.
"When you come from Europe - Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, whatever - it's a big difference coming to the U.S. and living in a city that's almost bigger than your whole country. It takes time. Some guys can do it right away, some guys it takes a few years."
Koivu said his introduction was particularly hard because there were the inevitable comparisons to his older brother.
"We're really close, but he's 81/2 years older and (because he's the most) popular athlete in your whole country as a kid, it's tough. I won't lie. Kids at school, they kind of knew who you were and everybody wants to be your brother. I didn't really care what people thought and we talked inside the family, and I learned to live with it. It's going to be different. In a few years, he's going to stop playing and maybe I won't be considered the little brother."
Perron waiting for chance: Rookie David Perron started the season on the St. Louis Blues' roster, but the 19-year-old from Sherbrooke might be heading back to the QMJHL's Lewiston Maineiacs in the near future.
When asked to comment on Perron's chance of staying with the club, Blues president John Davidson said: "We'll see how it goes, how many minutes we get him in."
It's tough to get minutes when you're a healthy scratch for the Blues' first two games.
