Ken Shamrock Returning To The UFC?

The Worlds Most Dangerous Man and UFC Hall Of Famer Ken Shamrock told NBCSports.com over the weekend that he is direct communication with Dana White, the UFC's President, about a possible return to the Octagon.

Shamrocks last fight was a first round loss to Tito Ortiz at the UFC's October 2006 SPIKE TV Live event THE FINAL CHAPTER. Since his loss in October, Shamrock has been working as a coach/owner for the IFL. He has not fought in an MMA event since the loss to Ortiz in their third and final battle.

He had no offense in his last fight with Tito, so I don't know if he will have a significent impact in the UFC. He is riding a 4 match losing streak, might I add he got eliminated in the first round in all of those bouts. Sorry to say this, but Ken you are washed up

Dave Meltzer is reporting that while Ken Shamrocks return to the UFC is indeed legit, it will NOT happen before the September 8, 2007, UFC 75
event.

Well, he clearly needs some training time so this makes sense. However, Ken please just retire. The only match I want to see for you is against Frank Shamrock, and you said you would never fight him, so just retire!

Dana White denies Shamrock rumors:

Dana White has told Yahoo! Sports that he has had NO contact with Ken
Shamrock about a return to the UFC and even went as far to say that he
wouldn't use the MMA Legend and UFC Hall Of Famer if could.

Ouch, must hurt for Ken Shamrock. I bet Dana is mad that Shamrock hasn't been putting on good fights recently, and he views him as a liability. You can't really blame him though. Yet, apparently Ken thinks he still is coming to the UFC.
